The results of the GCE (advance level) examination 2011 will be released tomorrow(25). A press release issued by the department noted President Mahinda Rajapaksa held discussions with Education Minister Bandula Gunawardena, Attorney General Eva Wanasundera, and Commissioner General of Examinations Anura Edirisinghe regarding the release of the results. The President had instructed the special committee tasked with assessing the Z-score marks to give their decision by December 24 so that the Examinations Commissioner could release the results by December 25. Accordingly, the results will now be released today as the attorney general has given her ruling based on information provided by the special committee, the release states. The department states arrangements have been made to release the results online by morning today (25). Principals of schools belonging to the Colombo and Jayawardenapura educational zones will be able to obtain results sheets of their respective schools from 10.00 am today by visiting the examinations department situated in Pelawatte, Battaramulla.
